Please raise precaution when cooking and avoid unnecessary building evacuations. Your apartment door is a ‘fire rated’ door and required to be closed at all times to prevent the spread of smoke and steam. ALT & Sienna Apartments are equipped with an automatic fire detection and alarm system. Fire detectors are located throughout Common Areas within the building and particularly the corridors. These detectors are susceptible to detecting smoke and steam.

Please remember:

ALWAYS TURN ON YOUR KITCHEN EXTRACTION FAN WHEN COOKING
KEEP YOUR APARTMENT FRONT DOOR CLOSED AT ALL TIMES
OPEN YOUR WINDOW FOR FRESH AIR IF SMOKE & STEAM DEVELOPS
